Not too much going on these days. Lots of preparation and planning along with research and education. It is cold so nothing can grow outside yet. We hope to sell many CSA shares and meet with other clients to talk about 2019 production.
Hopefully it will be warm enough to start planting by the end of the month. Order seeds and material, service equipement, and prepare for the planting season. Lots of little plants started indoors and eagerly waiting to get outside.
Where does the time go? Plant Plant Plant and when we are done we plant more.
Still planting between the rains. Weeding and watching things grow. Perhaps some lettuce and spinach by the end of the month.
Lettuce, spinach, kale, kholrabi, broccoli, peas, beans, summer squash, and STRAWBERRIES. Come out to the farm and pick your own or order some pre-picked. The Chaska market will start Mid-June. More and more weeding.
It is time for sweetcorn, cucumbers, and tomatoes. July is a bountiful time of the year for Klingelhutz Farm.
